Cipherah runs six services that are designed to sit together: compute, business email, private networking, edge delivery, object storage, and domains with DNS. Take the whole stack or only the piece you are missing — each works on its own, and they are built so that adding the next one needs no rework of the last. Compute is dedicated vCPU on NVMe in three sizes, and moving up a size reuses the same image and configuration rather than rebuilding the box. Mail is unlimited mailboxes on your own domain. Storage is S3-compatible with no egress charge, so serving a file costs the same whether it leaves once or a million times.

How is a server secured before handover?
Security here is the state a machine is already in the first time you log into it, not a checklist worked through afterwards. The firewall is closed by default, so nothing is reachable until a rule says it is and every open port is written down with the reason it was opened. TLS certificates are issued and renewing before you get the keys, so no expiry date depends on someone remembering it. Admin surfaces and data stores sit behind the private network, which means there is no public route to attack in the first place. Mail authenticates: SPF, DKIM and DMARC are published and aligned so your domain cannot be spoofed.
What does managed actually mean day to day?
Managed means Cipherah does the parts nobody wants to be woken up for. Uptime, disk, memory and certificate expiry are watched around the clock, so a problem reaches us before it reaches your customers. Snapshots run on a schedule and are kept off the box, and restores are tested rather than assumed — a backup nobody has restored from is a rumour, not a backup. Security updates are applied on a fixed cadence inside a window you agree in advance, instead of whenever somebody happens to remember. You keep root on your own servers throughout; none of this depends on us holding access you cannot see.

Finally you get the credentials, the runbook and a diagram, so nothing about how your infrastructure works lives only in our heads.

What is included in managed hosting?

Do I own my domain and servers?
Yes. Domains are registered and renewed in your name rather than ours, you hold root on your servers, and every stack ships with its runbook and diagram. Leaving is always possible, which is why staying should be a choice.
What happens if something breaks at 3am?
Monitoring runs 24/7 and support is available every day of the year, so an outage is picked up and worked on without waiting for business hours. You hear about a problem from us rather than from your own customers.
How much does it cost?
